Hivern Discs – HVNXX

John Talabot has been delivering opulent electronic compositions for the past four years, tracks like ¨Lamento, Depak Ine, Matilda’s Dream¨, and not to mention his collaborations with Pional. The Spaniard is also the man behind Hivern Discs, an upcoming music label born in 2008 that caught our attention with the introduction of high calibre dance floor weapons like Marc Piñol, Pional,Aster,Fasenuova, New Jackson, and Kresy.

Hivern Discs gladiators made a quick impact on the electronic music scene, and it didn’t take too long for UK label Young Turks to notice what some of these can put on the table.

HVNXX is a limited edition co-release with Young Turks which is absolutely sold out on wax. The release comes in an embossed sleeve with artwork designed by Arnau Pi. The outcome of this collaboration is a solid four-track remix EP of latest album by The XX ¨Coexist¨ crafted by four artists from Barcelona’s label; Marc Piñol, New Jackson,Mistakes Are Ok, and Round.

Irish producer New Jackson started this music affair between Hivern Discs and Young Turks back in April 2013, when he released remix of indie classic ¨Swept Away¨ as a free download. It didn’t take too long for Soundcloud hunters to abuse of this wicked freebie, which in a matter of days it was quickly removed off Soundcloud. It took us several months to find out what happened to New Jackson’s hidden gem, which you can grab it from HVNXX. In addition, Talabot and Pional remixed tracks from The XX earlier this year.
